About Xtreme Cheer

XTREME CHEER is a business in motion.

Our employees travel around to colleges, high schools, and middle schools to teach skills used in cheerleading today. We specialize in tumbling, stunting, jumps, and dance. We teach to boys and girls of all age groups. We also offer choreography and private lessons for teams and individuals. Another component of Xtreme Cheer is our All-Star program. We currently have 6 teams.

Michael Talbot

Xtreme Cheer is owned and operated by Michael E. Talbot. Mike has 17 years of cheerleading and tumbling experience. In addition to his participation in cheerleading through high school and college where he was a cheerleader for the UCONN HUSKIES, Mike has worked for various organizations associated with cheerleading from regional to national levels. He was a member of the UCA staff for 7 years, and also a member of Best Cheerleading for 3 years. Mike has been a judge on local and national levels, as well as being certified by the USASF in tumbling, stunting, and baskets through level 5. Additionally, Mike is safety certified in the state of Connecticut for CPR and First Aid.

Dana Talbot

Assistant Coach Dana Talbot has 20 years of Gymnastics and Dance experience. As a former gymnast at Southern CT State University, Dana competed at a National Level. Dana was also the former head coach for the Southington YMCA program up to level 9 for over 3 years and Assistant Coach to the High School Team. Dana joined Xtreme Cheer in 2003 where she has assisted in tumbling, dance and choreography. She also manages all operations behind Xtreme Cheer. Dana is USASF certified in tumbling up to level 5.

Dilmer Bonifacio

Dilmer has been a New Jersey Nets Cheerleader for the past 5 years, and he has been with Xtreme Cheer for the past 3, involved in coaching and also helping with choreography. He has been helping out and coaching with the New Rochelle High School Cheerleading program for the last 10 years. His background is based on cheering and dancing, swimming, soccer, gymnastics and tumbling. He has been doing all these skills for the last 12 years.

Angel Neris

Angel joined Xtreme Cheer over a year ago. Angel is a Assistant Coach to the All-star Program. Cheering for 11 years, Angel was all FCIAC in 2002 & 2004 and All State cheerleader in 2004. Angel helped coach Central High School, and coach CT Cougars Allstars. Angel was also a Level 7 gymnast. He is USAG certified and CPR certified.

Avery Watson

Avery is a former cheerleader for Fairfield Warde High School and has been with the Xtreme family for 5 years now as both a performer and coach. Avery is the Head Coach of the Youth All-star program and assists in all aspects of choreography. She is First Aid, CPR, and ACCAA certified. She is also a top veteran instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association. Avery also is the new Staples High School Head Coach in Westport, CT.

Jay Ruffin

Jay is a former Stamford Varsity Cheerleader who has been with Xtreme as an athlete for going on three seasons, as well as the coach of the youth team. In addition to being the assistant coach at Stamford Varsity, Jay is First Aid, CPR, ACCAA, and USASF certified. He is also a choreographer and a certified high school coach for the state of CT.

Frank Rende

Frank has been a Junior Olympic Gymnastics coach, and a tumbling coach for cheerleaders, for 10 years. In that time he has worked with many state and regional champions within gyms in Florida, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. He has coached every level of gymnast and cheerleader from preschool to the collegiate level. Coach Frank is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, USA Gymnastics Safety Certified, an AFAA certified Personal Trainer, and Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified.
